Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Parker Dubai, IPDE Barnstaple and ESMA, our long established and trusted partners for the Abu Dhabi region, we were able to respond to the needs of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) engineering team by providing non-standard 5 valve manifolds.

ADNOC is the second largest hydro carbon producer in OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) with plans to increase production and committing to investment of $25 billion in the next 5 years across 4 mega projects.

Given the extraordinary conditions we all find ourselves operating within, we were able to meet a challenging set of parameters to provide product in a material suitable for use with lethal H2S levels, also known as extreme sour service. The original design concept was based on tried and trusted Umm Lulu manifolds, previously supplied by Parker, but ADNOC needed to make changes to suit specific assembly challenges. The IPDE technical team were able to respond quickly to provide an approved design.

Paul Shaddick, Distribution Manager, comments; “Special thanks go to Jon Bowen for his tireless efforts in responding to these demands. Also, thanks to the Manufacturing Engineering department and Customer Service team who collectively were able to provide strong deliveries based around ADNOC’s contractor, who had to first mobilize their construction crew into a quarantine zone prior to being moved offshore.”

“This collaborative effort has given us a platform for future business with ADNOC and its contractors and we are now being considered as “Trusted Advisors” in such matters.”
